Jessie Rodriguez grew up in Fontana, California with his parents and three older brothers. Jessie’s parents distilled a strong work ethic in him that has made him the entrepreneur he is today. He attended the University of La Verne, and graduated with a Bachelors degree in Public Administration.
While attending college Jessie got a job in the mortgage industry and soon after opened his own mortgage company. In 2007 the mortgage crisis of America took its toll on his company and he had to shut his doors. The real estate industry was struggling to survive. The majority of real estate transactions taking place were foreclosures. In March 2008 he took Cal-American Homes, and with zero real estate sales experience, became a sales agent. He cold called major banking institutions like, Wells Fargo, Bank of America, Chase, Fannie Mae and GMAC. He landed two corporate accounts GMAC and Wells Fargo in his first year and closed hundreds of transactions over the next four years.
In 2012 the National Association of Realtors named Jessie one of the top 30 realtors under 30 years old. That same year Cal-American Homes and Jessie Rodriguez were featured in the national publication, Inc. magazine. Cal American Homes was recognized for being apart of the Inc 500 as the 286th fastest growing business in America. Cal American homes shares this award with the likes of Facebook, Microsoft, Intuit and Zappos.
Jessie has always had an immense love for real estate design and architecture. In 2012, Jessie expanded Cal American Homes from just a sales company to an investment firm that buys, fixes and sells dilapidated and distressed homes. He specializes in older Classic American homes (Craftsman, Spanish, Victorian), because of his love for the architecture. After two years of hiring other people to perform the work, Jessie realized that opening a construction division would help control costs and give the flexibility to take on larger projects. Now Cal American Homes is a full service Real Estate sales, Design, and Construction Agency. We have a cradle to grave approach for our clients. We do not have to outsource to other companies, we can keep everything in house.
